SAP Note 24887 - Material master: long text is not saved

Symptom:

When maintaining a material master record, you maintain a particular long text (for example, a sales text) and then switch to the data screen of another long text (for example, a basic data text). However, you neither enter nor change any text on this screen. You then switch back to the long text screen processed first (in this example the sales text), making no change to the text here either. After saving the material, this long text is then lost; that is, it is not also saved.
