SAP Note 24728 - Display optically archived documents FI/SD

Symptom:

Is it possible to display invoices created by sales and distribution that are stored in the optical archive from financial accounting?

Cause and prerequisites
Solution
Via the processing options of accounting (FB00), each user can set whether the menu options for optical archiving are active for the document display or not (in Release 2.2). However, to display a document via the menu option 'Display original' there must be a link to the object BKPF. However, this is not currently created by the billing document since the FI document number is not yet known there.
As of Release 3.0, you have the option to branch from the FI document into the billing document via the function 'Sender document' and from there to display the archive.
Technically, it would also be conceivable to display the archived SD document directly from FI since the billing document number is known, and the archive for the object VBRK can be displayed via the function module RV_DISPLAY_ARCHIV.
