SAP Note 22902 - Onarchive: ARC-E-01846 when saving dbspacesets

Symptom:

Backup with On-archive cancels and delivers the following error while archiving dbspacesets:
ARC-E-01846, Error received from Informix server while processing archive or backup.
IFMX-E-API, [tmpdbs1] Invalid dbspace list
Cause and prerequisites

The dbspaceset which should be saved contains a temporary dbspace.
Temporary dbspaces are generally not archived with the backups since these contain only temporarily valid data.
If an attempt is nevertheless made to archive a temporary dbspace in a dbspaceset (not equal to "*"), the above error occurs.

Solution

If several dbspacests are defined for backups, e.g. to make parallel backups on different tape devices, these dbspacests may contain no temporary dbspaces.

Temporary dbspaces need not be saved explicitly. These are restored implicitly via the reserved pages when a restore is carried out.
