SAP Note 22899 - Operation EFIVA (termination & payment of holidays)

Symptom:

The operation EFIVA calculates the number of rest holidays which have to be paid in the payroll in case of termination.
This number of days won´t be calculated correctly if there is a termination and a re-hire in the same payroll period.
In this case the number of rest holidays calculated considers the rest holidays corresponding to the re-hire.

Cause and prerequisites

Program error.

Solution

Please modify the Include RPCMSPE1 of the payroll driver with the correction number K139231 as follows.

The behaviour of the EFIVA operation should be as follows:
The operation EFIVA will select ONLY the records of infotype 5 that are valid for the current year or for previous years, but ONLY those with the limit_date to take the vacation ending IN the period being computed. This means:

1. vacation days not used, but with limit_date ending BEFORE the current period (for example, when this right can not be extended from one year to the next), will NOT be selected.

2. vacation days not used, but with limit_date endinf AFTER the current period (for example, in case of re-hiring), will NOT be selected.
