SAP Note 22332 - Error interface MM-CO and MM-FI

Symptom:

In Materials Management the system generates error message
'KI235 Account & requires an assignment element to a CO object

Cause and prerequisites

This is caused by an incorrect Customizing setting.

Solution

The following settings should be checked:

1. You must enter for an G/L account with cost element the corresponding account assignment. Either the application allows the account assignment being entered manually or it can be derived from CO Customizing automatically. You can set up the automatic account assingment in Transaction OKB9.

2. The automatic derivation is only performed if the account assignment field in question is defined as required or optional field. For this, check the field selection for the G/L account and also - for transactions/events to purchase orders - the field selection for the account assignment category.
