SAP Note 18951 - How do you call the opening entry for Capital Lease

Symptom:

How do you make an opening entry for leased assets according to the Capital Lease method ?
Key words: AS03, LEAS, leasing, Capital Lease, Capital Leasing.

Cause and prerequisites

The "Opening entry" function can only be called from the asset display on the leasing screen, if:
- the leasing type (ANLA-LEART) is set, and
- no acquisition date (ANLA-ZUGDT) is set, and
- no acquisition period (ANLA-ZUPER / ANLA-ZUJHR) is set.

Solution
Set the asset fields accordingly.
The field selection of the leasing type is controlled in the screen layout via leasing data 2 (field group 71).
