SAP Note 18829 - Inventory document: Posting block is not removed

Symptom:

Transactions: MI01 MI07
When you post an inventory document, the posting block is not removed automatically.

Cause and prerequisites

The posting block indicator in the inventory document header (field IKPF-SPERR) only is of informative nature after the document creation and is retained after posting the inventory differences because the information on the original status of the created inventory document is to be kept as well. The posting blocks are reset in the material master segments to allow the posting again.
