Solution

Long access times during the availability check can be improved by reorganizing tables VBBE and VBBS physically (you reorganize tables physically in the database with the appropriate database utilities). The precondition is that very long access times have been determined for this table. In Oracle, you may use parametrization to cause a better filling ratio of data blocks. You then do not need to reorganize as often as you used to. For further information, please contact your database administrator.
In addition, you can deactivate requirement elements in the availabiltity check control that are not used (for example, planned orders and production orders for trading goods). If necessary, you must create new availability check groups to differentiate between internally and externally procured materials.

2. Many text types in the item may lead to poor performance, particularly if the text proposal takes place according to a multi-level search procedure.
