SAP Note 16826 - Long texts on SOLARIS, code page EUC, not imported

Symptom:

Long texts are not imported under Solaris, code page EUC (Japan only).

Cause and prerequisites

The import program does not recognize the paragraph separator of the long texts.

Solution
Starting in 2.1J and 2.2D, the paragraph separator was changed to characters that exist in every code page.
For 2.2B, a new master CD with new programs and converted export files will be sent to SAP Japan.
In addition, the changed programs are also available on the sapserv servers in directory /dist/permanent/LANG/21x, file names NEWPROG.DAT and README.NEW .
