SAP Note 16629 - Leave transaction with F3, F12 or F15

Symptom:

You are in interactive batch input.
This means you are processing a session with processing type "Visible"
or "Only display errors".
You exit the transaction normally, as in dialog, with CANCEL , BACK , or EXIT .
The transaction thus ends normally. For batch input, this means that the transaction was processed successfully and is deleted, whether it was incorrect or not.

Cause and prerequisites

The function keys described above represent a defined, successful end of a transaction in batch input.

Solution
Please do not use these function keys in interactive batch input.
Only those functions listed under System -> Services -> Batch input are correct in batch input and guarantee the consistency of the session.
Press F1 on the functions to display a complete description.

As of Release 22I or 30G, SAP offers a solution for this problem.
Before you leave the transaction you will be questioned whether you
want to wipe the batch input data or not.
