SAP Note 15966 - Copy Planning: Only Manually-Planned Values

Symptom:

Transaction: KP97 Copy planning (from Rel. 2.2A)
Program : SAPMGPLV
Description : Transaction KP97 only copies the manually planned values for cost centers or cost center/activity types: primary costs, revenues, activity types, activity input, secondary order costs and statistical key figures.
Prices (manual as well as iterative) are copied 1:1 periodically from the source version to the target version. Because other cost conditions can exist in the target version, SAP recommends a price calculation to adjust iterative prices at the end of the planning process. Only if you absolutely want to keep the same prices as in the source version should you not execute a price calculation. The manual prices remain the unchanged in any case.
Values *not* copied are: Plan data from other objects then cost centers (orders, projects, business processes, etc.) budgets from budget planning, and data from plan allocation transactions (periodic reposting, assessment, distribution, indirect activity input, accrual calculation, planned settlement, etc.). This data is neither reset nor overwritten.

Solution
If you want the plan allocation data (assessment, distribution, accrual calculation, etc.) to appear in the target version, you must also execute the relevant transactions for the target version. The assessment and distribution cycles must be created for the target version. You can use the original version as a reference when creating the cycles.
