SAP Note 15960 - Data medium exchange: where is the DME file?

Symptom:

Up to Release 2.1, the DME file was always written to the file system (e.g. UNIX). The file cannot be located in Release 2.2.

Cause and prerequisites

As of Release 2.2A, the DME file for program RFFOD__U can be stored in the TemSe (file for temporary sequential files). As of Release 3.0A, this is also possible for other payment medium programs.

Solution
The payment medium programs (e.g. RFFOD__U) have a parameter "Output medium", which is used to control the format and location of the DME file. The default value is output to the TemSe. If you start the payment medium program with an old variant, the output will be written to the file system.
