Description: Not all costs are displayed in the reports for cost accounting.
Cost elements do not necessarily have to be assigned to a cost element group. The accounting reports only display the costs for the cost elements that appear in the cost element groups used.
There are three options to solve the problem.
1. Determine and supplement the missing cost element entries:
=============================================================
To determine which cost elements were not assigned to a certain cost element group, you can carry out a corresponding valuation in the cost element maintenance under Extras->Check_completeness. Supplement the listed cost elements in your cost element group afterwards. This possibility is available as of Release 3.0.
2.1 Supplement the report definition with a display of non-assigned costs (without breakdown of cost element levels) - as of Release 2.1F
=====================================================================
To display the costs of the non-assigned cost elements, you can use the following procedure (analog to standard report 1BAB-001):
Line blocks of the report:
--------------------------
No.Line block
01 Cost element set
02 Non-assigned items
03 Underabsorbed/overabsorbed burden
04 All cost elements "Suppress" flag set
Line 01 contains the group from the cost element group maintenance or a multi set with a set variable for dimension "Cost element"
Create line 02 as a calculation line. It indicates the difference in costs between line 04 and line 01.
Line 03 is also to be created as a calculation line; it adds the costs from lines 01 and 02.
In line 04, configure a basic set for the dimension cost element.
This set contains all the cost elements as an interval (e.g.
0-9999999999). This line block can be suppressed starting in Release 2.1F, and will not appear in the report.
2.2 Supplement the report definition with a display of non-assigned costs (with breakdown of cost element levels) - as of Release 3.0E
=====================================================================
To implement a breakdown according to cost element within the non-assigned costs, it is necessary to process the report using the REPORTWRITER. As of Release 3.0E, you have the option to define an outstanding process display for a row block in REPORTWRITER. This option is not available in REPORTPAINTER.
If you do not have any or only limited experience with REPORTWRITER which is - in contrast to the REPORTPAINTER - technically orientated, you can first create your report definition by means of the REPORTPAINTER.
Ensure in this case that an additional row block is created for every row block to which a investigation of the non-assigned costs is to be created. Define this row block to the same characteristic combination and enter either intervals over all possible values or value groups which contain all possible values as the characteristic. The non-assigned costs are displayed after you have processed your PAINTER report using the REPORTWRITER in this row block.
After creating your PAINTER report, create a new WRITER report using transaction GR31 (report source: REPORTWRITER). Enter the name of your PAINTER report as reference. After the data release, a popup appears in which you must enter a prefix to create set IDS. You may enter a name of your choice.
Click on the pushbutton "Rows". A list of the row blocks appears which can be created by means of the Painter definition. Position the cursor on those row blocks in which you want to display the non-assigned costs.
In the menu, select 'Edit -> Select', to enter the initial screen of the row characteristics. Delete all any entries contained in field 'Detailing level' and confirm with 'Enter'.
Now select in the menu 'Extras -> Outstanding processing' and mark the row block in which the non-assigned costs are to be determined.
After this, the report can be saved as usual, entered in a report group and be generated.
Please ensure that no further processing of the report by means of REPORTPAINTERS is possible. Setting the outstanding processing should only be possible during the final step when creating the report.
