If, during the changing of an info record a new validity period is
created for a condition for a later date, the net price (screen:
purchasing organization data 1) is calculated as if this validity
period had been reached, for example:
Gross price 1 $ / 1 pc
Discount on gross 10 % until 12.31.94
Discount on gross 20 % as of 01.01.95
Date of change = 09.23.94 (current date)
yields a net price of 0.80.- $ with pricing date 09.23.94.
In the structure of the info record there is only one field for the
net price. There is currently no table in which all possible net
prices are held.
This is intended, since the net price has purely informative character
and, in the case of POs for example, is not copied from the info
record, but is calculated correctly. The pricing date field always
contains the date of the last change and no validity date.
Note: Due to numerous customer queries on this subject, changes are now planned. However, these will only be available in a later Release (planned Release: 4.0).
