SAP Note 12889 - Long runtimes when resetting a company code

Symptom:

Program : RATSTDEL
When you reset an asset company code, very long runtimes
result (transaction OABL)

Solution
To reduce the run-times, we recommend the following:

1) Deactivate the synchronous matchcode maintenance
Transaction SE11 Object name 'AANL'
Object class 'Matchcode objects'
Function 'Process' or 'Change'

In the subsequent screen, select the matchcode IDs with the
appropriate function key. In the screen with the matchcode IDs,
set the "Update type" to "A". Then activate the changes. Repeat
for all matchcode IDs.

You can then start the program for resetting the test data.
After the run, start report RDDMCCRE for all matchcode IDs for
matchcode object "AANL".

To resynchronize matchcode maintenance after deleting test
data, use transaction SE11 to change the "Update type" of the
matchcode IDs from "A" to "S".


2) Secondary index for table ANLP
When depreciation posting runs have also taken place in the company
code you want to delete, we recommend creating a secondary index
for table ANLP.
Transaction SE11 Object ANLP
Object class Table
Function Process or Change

In the subsequent screen, select the "Indices" function.
Specify index indentifier "A" and create the index with the
following fields: MANDT, BUKRS, ANLN1
Then save the index and activate table ANLP.
To define the index on thedatabase, call transaction SE14.
