SAP Note 11813 - Differences GLT0 <-> GLT3

Symptom

After report RFBILA00 with extract to FI-LC has been run, differences between GLT0 and GLT3 can be seen in the audit trail.
This can mean that the breakdowns for consolidation (such as trading partner and transaction type) have not been read into the extract file or that the extract file has not been written.
The differences can also be displayed and analyzed by means of the compare report GLT0 <-> GLT3 (RGCCDB00) via Customizing IMG 'Financial Accounting -> Consolidation Preparation -> Tools for Creating the Initial Data Set -> Database reconciliation -> Reconcile general ledger with consolidation staging ledger'

Cause and prerequisites

Possible causes are:

1. Before posting to the consolidation additional ledger (consolidation staging ledger) was activated, the legacy dataset was not or not fully created.

2. Posting to the consolidation additional ledger has not been activated.

3. The carry forward balance for the consolidation additional ledger has not been carried out.

4. The documents were not all posted, because the interface was activated at a later date or the activities were not all assigned.

Solution

Possible solutions:

1. Legacy data transfer in GLT3. For automatic legacy data transfer by means of program RGUREC10, see Notes 60664, 62639 and 84431.

2. Set posting to the GLT3. The posting of the individual activities must also be set for posting in batch mode. Then the documents must be reposted. Once this is done posting must be reset for online posting.

3. Carry forward the balances for GLT3.

4. Check whether all activities assigned to ledger '00' are also assigned to the additional ledger.
If certain activities are not assigned to the additional ledger, then assign these ONLY for posting in batch mode. Repost the documents.

Before repeating RFBILA00, you are recommended to make sure by means of the compare report specified above that there are no differences between GLT0 and GLT3.
