SAP Note 11156 - When is the base insurable value re-calculated?

Symptom

When the index figures in an index series are changed, the
base insurable value is not corrected. The master data display
and the insurance report, in particular, both display
the old values.

Solution
The base insurable value is only re-calculated
o if there are transactions for the asset in the reporting
year
o during the change transaction for old data, if the the option
'Calculate cumulative insurable value' is set in the Customizing
function for old assets data takeover.
The system only takes a subsequent change of the index series
into account in these two instances.
