SAP Note 23092 - MR01: No minor difference for 'calculate tax'

Symptom:

The combination 'calculate tax' and the automatic creation of a minor difference line for the document balance is not supported.

Cause and prerequisites
Solution
Either enter the taxes or manually correct the balance to zero, or use the logistics invoice verification (as of Release 3.0) (MR1M, MR1G); it is supported there.

When you use Transaction MRHR, note that no minor difference line in the document balance can be generated if in the definition of the tax code the check indicator is set. This indicator determines, that the system generates an error message if the tax amount is not correct. If the indicator is set, the system generates a warning instead of an error message.
