OnArchive requests sometimes keep the status "Executing", even when the request was cancelled (e.g. with "stop_oncatlgr" or "kill -9" to oncatlgr or onautovop process).
Cause and prerequisitesOnArchive or an OnArchive request was cancelled by stopping the oncatlgr process (stop_oncatlgr) or kill -9 to oncatlgr and/or the onautovop process.
SolutionUse the OnArchive command
onarchive 'cancel/req=
to set all requests with status "EXECUTING" to status "CANCEL". In addition, use stop_autovop to cancel all the requests that were started with start_autovop.
If the OnArchive still contains requests with status "EXECUTING", then stop oncatlgr (stop_oncatlgr).
Then use "start_oncatlgr" to start the cataloger again and check the catalog entries. If the catalog still contains entries with status "EXECUTING", stop and start the cataloger again and again until no more entries appear.
