SAP Note 12851 - Releasing a request/task as SAP* or DDIC

Symptom:

Requests and tasks cannot be released as user DDIC or SAP*.

Cause and prerequisites

You can find in the system requests and tasks that belong to the SAP* or DDIC user.

Solution
To guarantee proper development of objects in the development environment, the special users SAP* and DDIC cannot release repairs. While these users have special privileges in other areas, they are not authorized to release requests/tasks.
As a regular user, please, log on with sufficent authorization in the Workbench Organizer area. Then call the Workbench Organizer (transaction SE09). Display the request or the task using Display individually. You can transfer the request or task by using the 'Change owner...' pushbutton. After that, release the request and/or the task.
Please note: In Release 2.2 you call transaction SE01 instead of transaction SE09, and display the request or task. You can find the option 'Change owner...' in the menu under 'Edit'.
