SAP Note 25557 - Error C1063 with release strategy, classification system

Symptom:

During creation of a characteristic for a class for a release strategy (class type 032) with reference to field CEBAN-GSWRT or field CEKKO-GNETW, error message C1063 "Data type CURR not supported" appears.

Cause and prerequisites

Data type CURR not yet supported in 3.00.

Solution
The format CURR is supported as of Release 3.0A.
In order to test the release procedure in rel. 3.00, we recommend you do the following:
Create the following characteristics with E X A C T L Y the attributes described below:
1. Characteristic name: FRG_GSWRT
Data type: NUM
No. of chars.: 13
Decimal places 2
N O entry on "Additional data" screen under "Reference to table
field"
2. Characteristic name: FRG_GNETW
Data type: NUM
No. of chars.: 13
Decimal places 2
N O entry on "Additional data" screen: "Reference to table
field"
You can now assign these characteristics to the release strategy classes for purchase requisitions and purchase orders. In determining the release strategy, the characteristic FRG_GSWRT is filled with the requisition item value and characteristic FRG_GNETW with the order value.
Please note that these characteristics do not refer to a currency. The
requisition item value and the order value are applied in the process of determining the release strategy without different currencies being taken into account and without currency translation.
Consideration of different currencies is not supported until the realization of data type CURR.
