SAP Note 24951 - Help text for dialog box "Inconsistencies Exist"

Symptom:

When you select text maintenance, you see a dialog box which contains
the following:

Inconsistencies exist.
Start cleanup program ?
Yes No Cancel

Since no long text is available for these dialog boxes, you can refer to this note for the necessary help text.

Cause and prerequisites

Before ABAP/4 text maintenance is started, the texts belonging to a program are subject to a consistency check.

The following checks are made:

• No text elements with key SPACE may exist

• The title and the list header of a program may only exist once. No double entries!

• List headers may exist with 4 lines. Internally these entries are stored with the keys 001 to 004.
  A check is made whether these keys only exist once.

• Numbered texts may only have a three-digit number. It may not be assigned twice, it may not contain blanks, and it may not begin with "%_" .

• Selection texts may not have a double key entry either.

• For Include programs only a title may exist but no additional texts.
  

If one or more errors occur, you see a dialog box where you can start the correction program RSCORTXP.
If you click on "Yes", RSCORTXP is started.
If you click on "No" or "Cancel", any further processing and text maintenance is cancelled.
