Error message: Item & is not defined for company &.
Handling error:
There are three possible causes:
- 1. An item was deleted from the item table, although a company still
had values for that item.
- 2. A new item was added to the item table, but the parameter "Copy
item table" was not selected in the selection report.
- 3. Realtime update from FI was used to post the data, and the
group account number was not maintained at the time the direct posting occurred.
Re 1:
Before you delete an item from the item table, you must make sure that no companies have values for that item in the database. Use the database list to check this (menu path: Info system -> Auxiliary report -> Database list -> Totals records) for that item. If data exists with level 0 (due to manual data entry forms), delete the data for that item (menu path: Individual financial statements -> Copy/Delete). Take care with the report parameters! You can then delete the item from the item table.
Re 2:
If new items were added to the item table, you have to select the parameter "Copy item table" during the next selection.
Re 3:
Due to the described constellation, a record with item number "Space" exists in the database; this item does not exist in the item table. Therefore, add an item "Space" to the item table, and use it on the selection screen when selecting from the item table. Since the item is a required field in view maintenance you should use manual table maintenance (System -> Services -> Table maintenance) to call up table T854. You can then overwrite any item with a blank.
