SAP Note 22408 - MD44: Additional documentation

Symptom:

The following problems can occur in the analysis transactions MD44, MD45, MD46, MD47, MD48, MS44 and in the programs of module pool SAPMM61M:

1. Exception message 40 is displayed for requirements. It is not
displayed in the stock/requirements list, however (transaction
MD04).

Cause and prerequisites

1. The exception message is generated when the ATP quantity is
calculated. In the stock/requirements list, the ATP quantity
is not calculated unless specifically requested. As soon as it
is requested, the exception message will also be displayed there.
The exception message reports that a customer order, a reservation,
or a dependent requirement cannot be covered by current stocks
or from an inward goods movement that is expected by the due
date. If a forecast or planned requirement cannot be covered,
the exception message is generated.
