SAP Note 18784 - SIS: Updating deliveries without order reference

Symptom:

Deliveries without order reference do not update info structures in the Sales Information System (SIS).
If an item without order reference is attached to a delivery with order reference, then it will not be updated.

Cause and prerequisites

The sold-to party is only determined during the partner determination in deliveries without order reference, if this is explicitly set. If no sold-to party is determined, no statistics group can be determined for the sold-to party which is of central importance for the SIS.
If an item without order reference is attached to deliveries with order reference, then the system tries to determine an update group with the statistics group of the delivery (initial, since an order reference exists) and the statistics group of the delivery item. No entry exists when the allocation of the statistics group is made.

Solution
Set your update settings as follows:
Define a statistics group "LO" for deliveries and for delivery items. Allocate the statistics group "LO" to the delivery types without order reference and the items involved.
Set up entries for deliveries without order reference as follows when allocating the update groups:
Header:
SalesOrg DistChnl Div. Cust. SalesDoc Update group
0001 01 01 + LO 000001

Item:
SalesOrg DistChnl Div. Cust. Material SalesDoc Item UpdateGrp
0001 01 01 + 1 LO LO 000001
0001 01 01 + 1 LO 000001

These are only examples. Adapt sales organizations, distribution channels, divisions, and statistics group for customer and sales document type (header) or customer, material, sales document type, item category (item), and update groups to your system configuration.
