SAP Note 17891 - Trading partner bus. area cannot be switched off

Symptom:

Although the trading partner business area is suppressed in the field status definition, the BSEG-PARGB (COBL-PARGB) field is displayed during posting.

Cause and prerequisites

• Business area consolidation is switched on.

• Incorrect entry in table TCOBF

Solution

1. Call Transaction OCC0, switch off business area consolidation.

2. Incorrect entry in TCOBF: Please delete the following entry if it exists:
' ' PARGB ' ' or
' ' PARGB 'X'

Correct entry in TCOBF:
Please insert the following entry if it is missing:

'036' PARGB 'X'


Supplemental:
In Release 3.0E and 3.0F, it is not possible to call table TCOBF via SM30/SM31. In this case, please use Transaction SE16.

Table name: TCOBF
Enter PARGB in the "FIELD" field, and choose "Execute".
Delete the entry in which the GROUP1 field is empty
(Table entry-> Delete).
