SAP Note 16762 - GLX: Number ranges for object no.s & record number

Symptom:

When trying to post a document to FI-SL (former FI-GLX), the system terminates processing and issues the error message:
"Document has not been posted"

The note can also apply in cases where you are not explicitly using FI-SL but the document is relevant for Profit Center Accounting, the reconciliation ledger or consolidation.

Cause and prerequisites

The number ranges for the FI-SL objects GL_RECID (line item record numbers) and/or GL_OBJECT (object numbers) have not been maintained.

Solution
Maintain both number intervals using transaction SNRO:
