SAP Note 16718 - RFFOUS_C - Foreign currency check is not printed

Symptom:

1. You cannot print a foreign currency check using the check print program although a symbol for REGUD-WAERS is contained in the CHECK window of the corresponding F110... form (layout set).

2. If you pay in foreign currency when paying with a printed check, error message FS564 " Document & & & does not yet exist in the check file" is displayed after posting.

Additional remark

In some countries, the currency keys are preprinted even on foreign currency checks (US Dollar checks in Singapore, for example). Under Solution to the additional remark, a solution is given which allows you to "hide" this currency key.

Cause and prerequisites

The program requires the symbol &REGUD-WAERS& in the CHECK window.

1. Editing characters, such as &REGUD-WAERS(3)&, or the use of the currency key &REGUH-WAERS& cause the above error.

2. In the form used, symbol &REGUD-WAERS& is missing.

Solution

1. As of Release 3.0, the above options exist for printing foreign currency amounts on a check. In prior releases, there are two ways to correct the error:

a) Only use the symbol &REGUD-WAERS&.

b) Advance correction described below.

Note: The currency key symbol must be used in the CHECK window, to ensure that no checks in foreign currencies (e.g. LIT 1,000) are cashed in local currency (the aforementioned additional remark is an exception to this).

2. Add symbol &REGUD-WAERS& to your form for check printing. If no currency key is to be printed, proceed as described under Solution to the additional remark.

Solution to the additional remark
In the SAPscript form, you need to define a character string which has an attribute called "hidden". This allows for the currency key to be output on the check form in such a way that it cannot be seen:

Goto -> Character string
Edit -> Create
Name the character string "HI" for hidden and choose 'OK'.
Select the attribute "hidden"
Goto -> Window
Select the CHECK window
Edit -> Text elements
Select text element 545 Enter &REGUD-WAERS& (it will not be printed)Press F3
Layout set -> Activate
