2.1.11

SAP Note 16675 - RPDSYS00 Document cannot be maintained in log-on or secondar

Symptom:
  • RPDSYS00 should be used with a language which has not yet been translated; e.g., Norwegian. The customer also wants to maintain documentation in his language.
  • The system log-on occurs in a language other than D or E. Just as the SAP documentation should be available in D or E, the customer's own documentation should be in the log-on language.
Cause and prerequisites

Customer request

Solution

RPDSYS00 supports this request. The following parameters must be set to enable the customer to work:

  • Feature DSYSL must return the value 'X' (This characteristic is maintained via the transaction PE03).
  • Table T512J must be configured. The table contains duplicate information from T512U and is completed via Report RPDIND00. You may start the report at any time.
The following parameters must be set:
    • Language: The language key shows in which language text is considered in the display.
With SPACE all languages are made available. If languages are entered in this field, then access is limited to these languages.
    • Preferred languages: Enter here as secondary language D or E. Diese Choice is considered if the documentation is not available in the log-onlanguage.
If the documentation is also not available in the secondary language then RPDIND00 searches for other languages as long as the search is not limited by the field Language.
      Example:
Module available in !Preferred Language! Stored Language !
      D E F ! D ! D !
      D F ! D ! D !
      E F ! E ! E !
      F ! D ! F !
  • All object types for RPDSYS00 must be available in the language desired in order to maintain documentation in said language. In the example above, the object types must be available in Norwegian. The documentation for object types is stored under 'TYPE'.
