SAP Note 16065 - Application server cannot log on to DB

Symptom:

The work processes of an application server die after they are started. The trace files of the work processes
(/usr/sap///work/dev_w*), errors like
dbconnect (13) ... appear.
/usr/sap///work/dev_db* contains errors:
ORA-6114, sql-6753 and sql-2113

Cause and prerequisites

orasrv entry missing in /etc/services or /etc/oratab

Solution
Add the entry
orasrv 1525/tcp oracle
to /etc/services or create /etc/oratab.
