SAP Note 15990 - Report RPKLON00 does not exist

Symptom:

The customer/consultant cannot find report RPKLON00 or report RPKLON20 in the newly delivered system. He/she wishes to use this report to generate test cases by copying existing personnel numbers.

Cause and prerequisites

SAP no longer supplies this report. This decision was taken for the following reasons:

• checking master data to see if certain keys are unique, for example: time recording ID card number or occupancy of positions. RPKLON00 does not carry out these checks. Consequently, this leads to positions being over-occupied and to time recording ID card numbers being allocated twice. A similar thing occurs with the assets matchcode. Via this, items on loan (e.g. tools) are managed.

• using RPKLON00, you can change an employee's name (anonymization). By doing this, though, other data can be incorrect, e.g. SI number.

• changes to other tables which occur automatically through master data through control of data flow are not carried out by RPKLON00.

• even if you install all these points yourself it is only a matter of time before RPKLON00 once again does not do something which the master data does correctly automatically.

Solution
To test the system, you can set up CATT process flows. Using CATT process flows you can create and change personnel numbers. You can also compile payroll results using CATT process flow.
