SAP Note 13441 - Sequence of order delivery

Symptom:

The sequence in which orders are to be delivered in "Edit delivery
list" does not correspond to the due date and delivery priority
of those orders.

Cause and prerequisites

VL04 attempts to group as many orders as possible together in one
delivery. To do this, all orders that correspond to the selection
criteria are treated equally. In particular, the system no longer
counts due date or delivery priority. This is the only way to
deliver a past-due order item together with a new order in
one delivery.

Solution
To handle deliveries strictly in accordance with the delivery
priority, you will have to execute VL04 several times, selecting
only one delivery priority each time (first the highest, etc.).
With this procedure, orders with differing delivery priority
for the same recipient will not be grouped together in one
delivery.
