When you post manual depreciation to an asset, the system generates error message AA649: 'In area xy, you can only post manual dep. up to the amount &'.
Cause and prerequisites- 1. The asset has no further net book value which would allow further depreciation.
- 2. The asset has a depreciation key whose calculation key makes automatic calculations.
- 3. The asset has appreciations in area xy and depreciation is already higher than the acquisition and production costs without appreciation.
- 4. The asset manages values from the current fiscal year only.
- 1. No general solution is possible here.
- 2. An incorrect depreciation key is used. Manual depreciation and automatic calculation of the same depreciation type are mutually exclusive.
If another depreciation must be set in addition to the automatically calculated depreciation, there has probably been an unplanned depreciation.
If the asset should have only manual depreciation, please use another depreciation key, for example, 'MANU'.
- 3. Program correction in Include LAFARF10
The error is corrected in Release 2.2E. You can implement the attached program correction in advance. Depending on your release, you may already have parts of this correction. In this case implement only the differences. Please run the syntax check only for the main program SAPLAFAR.
- 4. Use a transaction type for the current-year acquisitions.
