sap Note 12967 - Authorization for asset class does not work

Symptom:

You want to restrict asset management authorization for the company code and the asset class. This does not work.

Cause and prerequisites

You have maintained the asset class incorrectly in the authorization.

Solution
The asset class is always stored with eight digits.
However, numeric asset classes are displayed without leading zeros. Please also enter the leading zeros in the authorization.

Example: Specify ANLKL 4106 as 00004106

Note that as of Release X, when you maintain the authorizations via the roles (Transaction PFCG), the leading zeros are automatically created correctly by the profile generator. However, in the display within role maintenance the conversion exit which suppresses the leading zeros is active.
