SAP Note 11953 - DB Alert Monitor displays outdated data.

Symptom

• DB alert monitor displays outdated data under Freespace Management

• Transaction DB02 shows an old date under Date/Time of this analysis

Cause and prerequisites

1. Background job "COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFORMANCEMONITOR" is not running.

or

2. The database is running on a separate computer without an SAP instance, or the logical server names for the R/3 instance and the database server in the central system are unequal.

Solution

ad 1)
Schedule background job "COLLECTOR_FOR_PERFORMANCEMONITOR":
Run the ABAP/4 program RSCOLL00 with a period of 1 hour.
Please read Notes 16083 and 12103 for this.

2)
Modify the entries in table TCOLL:

a) In column SYSTEM, replace the "C" with "E".
(Please make sure that more than one dialog work process is started on the Enqueue server. This should be the case anywhere).

or

b) In column SYSTEM, replace the "C" with "%" and enter an
alternative system.

For R/3 Releases 3.0A to 3.0E you can also use Note 48598.
