SAP Note 11907 - Upate does not work in table maintenance (sm31)

Symptom

If you perform a CALL FUNCTION ... IN UPDATE TASK in table
maintenance (MST

) with a subsequent COMMIT
WORK, no update occurs.

Cause and prerequisites

Table maintenance is performed in an online module. It
skips the COMMIT-WORK.

Solution
SUBMIT REPORT and then update. First export the data into
memory and reimport into the report.
