SAP Note 10799 - ORACLE error ORA1012

Symptom

ORACLE error ORA1012 "not logged on" is issued (e.g. in SysLog).

Cause and prerequisites

This error can occur when the database has been shut down but
the SAP system is still operating. In this case, the error can
occur when an SAP work process tries to access the database.
Unfortunately, the reconnect mechanism does not work in this
case, with the result that this error is triggered every time
the involved work process attempts access.

Solution
Restart the SAP system.
