SAP Note 10679 - Takeover of reversal movements.

Symptom

When entering reversal movements (credit memos for invoices in the
same year), the amounts are not taken over with a negative value but
with a positive value.

Cause and prerequisites

Program error or missing function.

Solution
As of 2.2, the entry of reversal movements is rejected by an error
message. The reversal movement has to be taken over balanced with the
respective original transaction.
Example : Acquisition 1100 per 03/31
Credit memo 100- per 03/31
Only the net amount 1000 can be taken over as acquisition.
If fixed assets with reversal movements have already been taken over,
these have to be corrected. In this case, the amounts of the reversal
movement are changed to 0 and the amounts of the original
transaction are adapted correspondingly.
