SAP Note 27711 - No access to AW01 in foreign language / AA511

Symptom:

AW01 cannot be called in a foreign language. Usually no error message appears in this case. Furthermore, various error messages can appear in the master data transactions that refer to the asset view, such as AA511, AA040.

Cause and prerequisites

1. As of Release 4.6C: missing entries in table T082AVIEW0T or the program error described in Note 408106.

2. Until Release 4.6B: Missing entries in table T082E or no asset view is negative

Solution

1. As of Release 4.6C:

a) In the asset posting Customizing, check whether view texts are defined for your language using Transaction ANSICHT. If this is not the case, copy table T082AVIEW0T from client 000.

b) Or implement the program correction of Note 408106.

2. Until Release 4.6B:

a) Using transaction SE16, check whether the table entries exist in your logon language. If this is not the case, copy the missing entries from table T082E in client 000. To do this, you can use the program below. Start it in the client in which the error occurs.

b) Activate at least one view using OAV1 by marking and saving.
