If all subordinate menus or functions of a menu option are inactive in a cascading menu, the system does not automatically deactivate the menu option.
This is intentional so that the user can always be informed about the entire menu structure.
However, it is not possible to gray out a menu option either (to indicate that all subordinate functions are deactivated) because this causes the menu option to become inactive automatically in some graphical interfaces, which means that you can no longer display the related submenu.
There is no solution.
As of Release 7.00, the response was changed in connection with the introduction of the Switch Framework and the Enhancement Framework.
