SAP Note 27655 - Copying/deleting field status variants

Symptom:

From the maintenance of the field status variants, you can branch to the maintenance of the respective field status definitions.
However, the respective field status definitions are neither copied when you copy a field status variant nor deleted when you delete a field status variant.
You can also not copy the field status definitions individually to another field status variant.

Cause and prerequisites

The integrated maintenance of the field status variants and field status definitions is currently not available.

Solution
When you delete field status variants:
Delete the respective field status definitions first and then the field status variant.
When you copy field status variants:
Create the field status variant first. Then branch to the general maintenance function of the field status definitions (in Customizing via Financial accounting -> Accounting (General ledger, A/R, A/P) -> Business transactions -> Base parameters -> Control -> Define field status definition groups). Select all required field status definitions there and copy them to the created field status variant.
