Symptom:

When posting, the system displays the following error message FI306:
No commitment item assigned to G/L account .

Cause and prerequisites

Cash budget management is activated in CO or FI and no commitment item was assigned to a G/L account.

Solution

The following solutions are possible:

1. Deactivate cash budget management for the company code concerned:
Transaction: OPI6

2. Assign a commitment item to the G/L account.

3. Assign a commitment item by using the 'More' key when posting.
