SAP Note 23892 - Error message 00347 for AS91 in rep. RAALTD01 (AuC)

Symptom:

Input files for report RAALTD01 are generated from old data. Two depreciation areas are to be supplied. Despite the obviously identical record layout, the old assets data takeover for assets under construction is unsuccessful. The error log displayes error 00347 in all records. "Field ANW2-KANSW is not an input field" or "BTCI data for screen SAPLALTD 0100 does not exist".
The same message for field ANWA-KANSW is not displayed anymore after it occurred once. When analyzing the session, you can see that the book values are read correctly and displayed correctly in the screens. Various similar messages and help from OSS did not provide a solution.

Cause and prerequisites

Check whether the indicator 'Line item settlement' is set in the asset class, section special functions.

Solution
A special procedure applies to the AuC line items which is described in the documentation for the old assets data takeover (System Administration - Organizational Element, chapter Old Assets Data Takeover, section 'How to Take Over Data, section 'Taking over Assets Under Construction'.
For AuC with line item management, you cannot specify cumulative values but only transactions (line item) with transaction type 900 or 910. To do this, click on 'Transactions' in the 'Transfer Values' screen. You can then enter the transactions for the AuC with transaction type 900 or 910. You have to note that you can only enter the 1st day after the last closed fiscal year as asset value date and not the historical asset value date.
For assets under construction without line item management, the cumulative values can be specified as usual.
