SAP Note 23252 - Veritas Filesystem and sapdba

Symptom:

Warning "Wrong Blocksize in Filesystem" during TS-Extension with sapdba

Cause and prerequisites

sapdba refers to newfs command, for Veritas-FS newfs responds wrong valu

Solution
The Warning in sapdba could be ignored, if you are sure that the Filesystem has the right blocksize.
Additionally you have to know that with a Veritas-Filesystem there is n no fragsize.
To be sure that the blocksize is right, you can use the OS-command "mkfs -m " device is the physical Partition on which the Filesystem was made.
Example: mkfs -m /dev/ios0/sdisk003s4 Result: The mkfs-command with all options which was necassary to make the Filesystem. There also the Option bsize=8192 should be given. In future releases of SINIX (5.43) this problem will be solved.
