SAP Note 21024 - SAPDBA: Many files in /oracle/SID/rdbms/audit

Symptom:

The directory "/oracle//rdbms/audit" contains a lot of files.

Cause and prerequisites

Starting in version 2.2C, SAPDBA logs on to the DB as "internal" for test purposes. This is recorded each time in an audit file ora_.aud.

It is a standard ORACLE security feature that it is not possible to turn off this auditing.

Solution
These files can be deleted using SAPDBA from Rel. 2.2E onwards or manually (for example, via a cron job).
