SAP Note 14953 - MRP: termination CONVERT_OVERFLOW in LM61ZF52

Symptom:

MRP (MD01,MD02,MD03,MD41,MD42,MD43) and planned order processing
(MD11,MD12) terminate with runtime error
CONVERT_OVERFLOW in SAPMM61X/LM61ZF52.

Cause and prerequisites

For technical reasons, the components usage quantity cannot be greater
than 9999999999.
If, however, this is the case due to an unfortunate unit of measure
selection, a field overflow occurs during the BOM explosion.

Solution
You must adjust the quantity unit of measure for the corresponding components in the material master record or in the BOM so that no field overflow occurs.
From 2.2C and 3.0C, the runtime error is under control. Instead, the planning of the corresponding material is terminated and the system iss ues an error message in the MRP list. The planning run is no longer terminated. The overflow itself can only be solved by changing the unit of measure or the quantities.
