Assigned disk space is not sufficient for files.
UNIX error messages with errno 28 "No space left on device".
Less space than was required was provided in the file system.
This note provides information about the requirements of TemSe and
spooler.
General:
Space requirements depend greatly on the application profile,
data volume, and frequency of reorganizations and cleanups.
The TemSe stores sequential datasets. Primarily, these are currently
the batch logs and spool files.
Requirement for logs of background processing:
Dependency: no, always
Scope: probably 5 .. 10 MB
Type: many very small files
Location: /usr/sap/
Delete: RSBTCDEL
Measuring: SP12 ->TemSe admin. -> Space occupied
Requirement for spool requests
Dependency: only when profile setting rspo/store/location = G
Scope: probably 100 .. 300 MB
Type: both large and small files
Location: /usr/sap/
Delete: RSPO0041 or RSPO1041
Measuring: SP12 ->TemSe admin. -> Space occupied
Requirement for output requests:
Dependency: only during the output operation
Scope: As large as the biggest list for printing
Type: a few files
Location: /usr/sap/
and: /usr/spool/*/*
Delete: automatically after output is complete
Measuring: using UNIX tools
Important:
Particularly at location /usr/sap/
also saved, such as data carriers, reorganization data, sort data, and
so on, that can grow to be VERY (!) large.
+ Assign more disk space.
+ Do not one several space-hungry applications at the same time.
+ Run cleanup and delete programs regularly.
Key word: TemSe, Spooler
